Using a body measurements tracker can be incredibly helpful when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle and accomplishing weight loss and fitness goals.
One of the most motivating parts of using a body measurements tracker is the ability to visually see the progress you’re making over time.
When you regularly record your body measurements, you’ll have something showing your achievements. This can boost your motivation and help keep you committed to your goals.
Unlike relying solely on the scale, which can be influenced by things like water retention and muscle gain, tracking your body measurements offers a more comprehensive assessment of the changes happening with your body.
Using a body measurements tracker can help you spot any plateaus in your progress.
When you start to notice that certain measurements haven’t changed for a while, this can be a sign that it may be time to adjust your exercise routine or nutrition plan so that you continue making gains or reaching your weight loss goals.
A body measurements tracker can help you to set specific, measurable healthy lifestyle goals.
Whether your goal is to lose inches from your waist, gain muscle in your arms, or get to a certain number on the scale, tracking your measurements helps to keep you motivated.
It also helps keep you focused on the goals you’re working towards and provides you with insight into the progress you’re making towards these goals.
This printable body measurements chart has places to track your neck, arm, chest, waist, hips, thigh, calf, and weight measurements on a weekly basis.
The printable was designed in a one-month layout (with 4 weeks) so that you can easily see the progress you are making week after week.
I’ve also included check boxes at the bottom of each week as a reminder to take your progress pictures.
In my opinion, taking progress pictures is incredibly helpful. There are times when weight and body measurements don’t change but you can see a visible difference in your progress pictures.
When I was competing in bodybuilding, taking my progress pictures I found to be even more helpful than the measurements themselves.
Pictures also can help a ton with motivation. I know it can be discouraging when the number on the scale does not go down when trying to lose weight.
That’s why progress pictures are so helpful. Your body can still be changing/progressing and tracking it with images is just as important as the physical measurements themselves.

Note: All downloads and printables on The Clever Heart are for personal use only. They cannot be redistributed or sold.
I always recommend starting at the beginning of the week.
That’s when I find it the easiest to remember to track my measurements – but choose whatever start date works best for you.
At the top of the body measurements tracker template, you’ll see a place to write your goals.
It’s helpful to have your goals written out so you are constantly reminded of them as you take your measurements every week.
Plus you’ll be able to watch yourself as you get closer to those goals with each weekly measurement.
I like using this body measurement tape for taking measurements. Any soft tap measure will work though.
This free printable tracker has a place for you to fill in measurements for your neck, arm, chest, waist, hips, thigh, calf, and weight.
At the bottom of each column, check off the boxes after doing progress pictures for your front, side, and back.
I’m a big fan of habit tracking. That’s why I’ve created and use a variety of habit trackers.
