Direct Admit Pathway Pre-Pharmacy Program
A direct admission pathway is for high school students wishing to pursue the Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Steps for Admission into the Pathway Program:
- High School:
- Graduating GPA ≥3.5
- (optional) ACT Math Score ≥ 26, or a SAT Math Score ≥ 610
- ALEKS placement in Math 150 or 155 to be eligible for enrollment in Chem 115 or transferrable math credit for college calculus.
- Apply to WVU as a pre-pharmacy major.
- Qualified students will be offered admission to the Direct Admit Pathway program.
- WVU Undergraduate:
- Enroll in the pre-pharmacy coursework suggested plan of study (semesters 1-4).
- Maintain GPA of ≥ 3.0
- Participate in the School of Pharmacy First Year Experience Seminar Courses PHAR 191 and PHAR 199.
- Apply through PharmCAS for WVU School of Pharmacy by priority decision deadline of November 1.
- Admission to PharmD Program:
- October and early November interview
- Notification of admission within seven days of your interview.
- Complete prerequisites by end of 4th semester. Some exceptions do apply.
- Maintain GPA of ≥ 3.0
